Similarities and Differences of MLA and APA

Similarities
1. Indents on new paragraphs are 1/2 inches long.
2. Double spaced throughout.
3. Page numbers at upper right had corner.

Differences
1. APA has no quotations, MLA allows quotations.
2. For page numbers, your last name is included before the number in MLA; whereas APA doesn't have you include your last name
3. APA header and title has a separate page followed by  name, and school name. MLA has a header on the first page along with its introduction page.
4. APA has two spaces after punctuation, MLA only has one space.
5. Humanities use MLA, social sciences use APA
